Yep. It’s the truth and I am ready to finally admit it. I am female physician and I make the time to sit myself down to watch me some Kardashians.
I actually went back to season 1 and began watching from the very beginning until I just finished watching the season finale of season number whatever. I think they have literally been on for over 20 seasons.
Say what you want about this group of women. There has been silliness, petty battles, public scandals, etc. We sometimes make fun of them. But the truth is, we are still watching! Hmmm.
The thing is that this group of women fascinates me, both in a fantasy sort of way and a fierce and powerful reality way. This is a group of women, under the leadership of matron extraordinaire Kris Jenner that have all moved forward to lead their own full lives with courage, intelligence and tenacity. They all run multiple corporations. They have matured into parents. They now all contribute to the less fortunate. They have accomplished great things. Their show has grown into much more than a reality show. As I am sitting here watching the season finale, I am watching Kim pursuing her prison reform initiatives. I am being educated about facilities that are about rehabilitation, not just entrapment. I am watching them being transformed by positive relationships. They have come a long way from cameras just following them to clubs and shopping.
Yes, there are plenty of arguments and family drama. Those are the tawdry fun parts to watch, but really there is so much more. They are all succeeding on their own. They are not just riding the coat tails of others. I can’t help myself. It is just becoming more and more interesting as the years go by. Say what you want, but I bet a bunch of you are still tuning in!
